• Angst? What Angst?: Neither Logan nor Jimmy Hudson are thrilled or emotionally touched by their meeting. Logan's son is Scotty, he never even knew Hudson. And Jimmy Hudson never met Wolverine, his father (who died in ''Ultimatum), but this is not his father, it's just the Wolverine of some other dimension.
• Continuity Lock-Out: If you took this comic seeking a Secret Wars (2015) tie-in, fine. But if you took it seeking the sequel to Old Man Logan, and ignore what Secret Wars is all about... then you should seek a good recap of that story, or get ready for a completely confusing and mind-screwing series of events. Knowing about the Age of Apocalypse, Marvel Zombies and Ultimate Marvel is not required (just read them as Battleworld domains, and get on with it), but it helps.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Danielle Cage, the baby of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, is an adult here. She was not in the original miniseries but became an integral part of the Old Man... mythos, and even raised the Mjolnir in Hammerfall and became the new Thor.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The son of that human trafficker, who sworn revenge against Wolverine for killing his father. Logan died in Dead Man Logan, so this kid won't have a chance for revenge
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The original miniseries had a Sequel Hook that promised to deliver us Wolverine killing all the villains in the Wastelands. Instead, as a Secret Wars tie-in, it turned into Old Man Logan jumping across Battleworld domains.
