YMMV / Oiligarchy

Go To

  • Anvilicious:
    • The game's message that "Oil companies are bad!" is very, very obvious. That the green ending is done by doing the bare minimum so you won't get fired really hammers the message in.
    • To a similar extent, a broader point can be made about the problems caused by rampant political corruption. Without "oiling up" the political parties to get favorable legislation passed to bend American society to your will, overwhelming popular support for the Green movement will naturally push you out of business, but by doing so you can maintain your power and profits for a very long time.
  • Awesome Music: The title theme is a short but fun tune that captures the essence of a corrupt business perfectly in an old-timey western way.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: "Oops, they are angry about the fish and pigs."
  • Cult Classic: Despite being kind of heavy-handed, as mentioned above, the game is well-regarded as far as flash games go.
