Better as a Let's Play: Several big YouTubers made videos about the game that ended up being even funnier than the game itself. This may have been because they could edit the videos so that the AI's insult would come out of nowhere rather than slowly being created right in front of you, or just because so many YouTubers have Contagious Laughter.
Fridge Brilliance: All custom-made characters in the sequel have originality as their weakness. Makes sense, considering they're all created from parts of pop culture and other vanilla game characters themselves.
Funny Moments: Occasionally you may manage to cobble together an insult that not only makes complete logical sense, but is also so brutal that you'll question whether you'd ever have been able to think one like that up outside the game.
Harsher in Hindsight: One of the phrases you can build in The Hollywood Roast is "you had an affair with the Weinstein Bros." While the phrase was aimed at both of them rather than Harvey specifically, after the sex scandal he got involved in, that phrase doesn't sound quite as funny anymore.
It's Short, So It Sucks!: The main criticism of both games is how quickly you can go through them and unlock all characters. Their longevity is primarily in their multiplayer. This is even lampshaded by the achievement "It Gets Boring After An Hour".
Narm Charm: Albert pronounces "house" as "ass", adding an unintentional extra layer of humor to insults involving this word.
That One Achievement: Any achievement that requires a specific insult. The words that pop up are completely up to luck whether they appear and there is a chance you may not even get those words before they are grabbed by your opponent. The first game had a lot of achievements like this, whilst the sequel mostly abandoned them to the relief of fans.
That One Boss: Grisha is an extremely annoying opponent in Tournament mode. His weak spot (countries and origins) is very hard to hit, as only a few prompts target it compared to other weak points, and his AI knows to grab any insults related to it first.
