- Audience-Alienating Premise: The sort of people who like Game of Thrones would probably be turned off from a Bible adaptation, and the sort of people who like Bible adaptations generally don't want things Hotter and Sexier and Bloodier and Gorier. Nor will they take kindly to the implication that God Is Evil and His followers Villain Protagonists.
- Values Dissonance: Whenever the command to exterminate the Amalekites is brought up, the main objection all the characters have is that the Amalekites don’t represent a threat and going after them will only distract the kingdom from focusing on its war with the Philistines. The fact that exterminating an entire people might be evil never crosses anyone’s mind.
