• Awesome Art: When the comic starts being colored by Sloane Leong and later Valerie Halla, it turns into one of the most gorgeously immersive and atmospheric comics around, giving new weight to the comic's Cerebus Syndrome, as well as making you really want to explore the US for yourself.
• The Woobie: Poor Eve. She's a well-meaning Only Sane Girl whose serious boyfriend issues tend to create a feedback loop of self-assertion and self-loathing. As the cast page says, "Eve fights self-doubt much like one would fight a hydra. It's pretty cute!"
