YMMV / Obi-Wan Kenobi — Part VI

• Epileptic Trees: We have to make some assumptions about parts of the plot that we weren't shown.
  • Reva must have recovered from being impaled through the gut by finding the Path's medical facility where Obi-Wan's burns were healed. She probably didn't have time to get a full soak in the bacta tank, but she might have used bacta spray (like IG-11 used on Din Djarin's head wound).
  • The Path must have left behind a one-person ship equipped with a hyperdrive because it wasn't suitable for evacuating the Force-sensitives, and Reva used this to get to Tatooine. Alternatively, if you re-watch Part V we see that Reva took her own shuttle separate from Vader. So hers might still be there.
  • After Vader took the shuttle down to the planet to duel Obi-Wan, the Star Destroyer may have left to resume its chase of the Path's transport, only to find that the transport's hyperdrive finally got fixed.
  • Vader probably has a comlink built into his suit, assuming Obi-Wan didn't wreck it (maybe it's on one of his belt boxes?) and after losing the duel he could have called the Star Destroyer to request medevac. That, or he managed to stagger or crawl all the way back to his shuttle, or called the shuttle's standard two pilots for assistance. For that matter, he could have called Palpatine for help with the Force, like Luke did on Bespin.
  • Obi-Wan probably sold the Path's dropship on Tatooine and used the money from that to buy his hut seen in A New Hope. This explains why he moves out of the cave, doesn't have to go back to his meatpacking job, and doesn't have that ship anymore, requiring him and Luke to hire Solo and Chewbacca for transport.
  • With his confidence restored, it's likely that Obi-wan starts often practicing the use of the Jedi Mind Trick, which he hadn't used at all throughout.
• Narm: The way that Darth Vader says "Your strength has returned, but the weakness still remains... and that is why you will always lose!" sounds a lot like Dark Helmet saying "Now you see that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb."
• Unexpected Character: The cameo appearances of both Palpatine and Qui-Gon were kept completely under wraps, preserving the surprise factor.
