• Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Seligman truly asexual as he claimed, or was he only saying that just so he could get into Joe’s pants?
• Awesome Music: For its subject matter, the film can surprise you with banging songs by Rammstein ("Führe mich") and Talking Heads ("Burning Down the House").
• Funny Moments: Talking about filming the sex scenes, Stacy Martin remarked that they were so technical in their execution that she found them to be kind of boring to shoot.
• Jerkass Woobie: Joe since she sexually assaulted men, uses people, leads people on, intentionally makes others jealous, convinces married men to leave their wives, and ruins relationships in her selfish behavior without remorse.
• Squick: Joe's time with K can be very uncomfortable to watch. And then there's that scene with wirehangers in the director's cut....
• Visual Effects of Awesome: The more graphic sex scenes don't actually have the actors performing the acts. Instead, they were digitally imposed over the body doubles having sex and the effect is so seamless that you probably thought that Stacy Martin and Shia LaBeouf were screwing for real.
• The Woobie: Joe. Especially after her nymphomania takes away the normal family life she once had.
