- "The People Are the Heroes Now", which plays as the airplane lands, and as Nixon comes out and is welcomed by Chou. It is on YouTube. It's also one of several John C. Adams pieces that form the soundtrack in Civilization IV once you reach the Modern Era, and the only one from this opera (unless you count "The Chairman Dances", which was written for the opera but was cut).
- Nixon's opening aria "News" is pretty epic.
