YMMV / Nightshade (1992)

Go To

  • Vindicated by History: Nightshade tried to do a Telltale Games-esque combination of adventuring and point-and-clicking and its utterly bizarre sense of humor on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It failed to appeal to its audience at the time, who thought it was just too strange and developed for the wrong platform. It wasn't until the adventure games were able to thrive on consoles like the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 that Nightshade was finally given credit where it's due. Many years later with the PC and Nintendo Switch Online re-release, it is considered as a fun if flawed classic with legitimately good humor.
