YMMV / Nicole

Go To

  • Adorkable: Darren is a shy, slighty stuttery academics guy? Gotta love him for it.
  • Broken Base: The mystery of the game being considered good or bad. Some find it to be done very well, with the creepiness factor being set pretty high and making the player feel scared. Others found it to be overly dramatic. And then the base is broken on whether the identity of the kidnapper was properly hidden or was too obvious to figure out.
  • Funny Moments: In Darren's normal ending, it's not so much the fact that he takes off running that's hilarious — it's the fact that his portrait literally zooms off the screen at high speed.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Jeff's attempts to convince Nicole that he's a monster and that she should stay away from him. It wasn't just because he was having a breakdown. It was because he was the kidnapper all along, he'd been the one tormenting her, and he was starting to realize just how wrong he'd been.
  • Paranoia Fuel: The kidnapper's texts to Nicole, which make it incredibly clear that wherever he was when he sent them, he could see her.
    • While this is more for the player, the fact that you could be romancing the man who kidnapped three women is a creepy thought. Worse, if you don't pursue the mystery, you won't ever know if you're basically dating a sociopath.
  • Player Punch: If you like all of the guys, the identity of the kidnapper is inevitably going to be this, especially if the one you've picked is the kidnapper.
  • The Un-Twist: Voix is Darren. And vice-versa.
