Note that this is even after calling a truce with Neo and McGillis was freed from his brainwashing.

This scene can also pass off as a Tear Jerker, considering what happened to Neo's brother, Luna Gundam ^note Luna had been separated from Neo via a surprise attack by the Evil of the Moon, was later captured by the Delaz Kingdom and forced to work for them while helping Neo in the background, was brainwashed due to his disobedience, and was forced to be killed by his own brother. , and the fact that SD Gundam Illustrated noted that the brothers may have succeeded the throne together had Selenis not fallen.
