- Canon Defilement: From the NCR being rewritten as a puppet state for crime families, to the descendant of an exiled Maxson, and the Star being changed from a clone of the Vault Dweller to random blood scrapings due to a non-canon Weird Wasteland conversation and Discord complaints, the overall narrative is best enjoyed in Broad Strokes.
- Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: Between having characters gratuitously drop the F-Bomb (to a degree that makes vanilla New Vegas look like a church), changing the NCR into an insanely corrupt state essentially puppeteered by the New Reno mob and other crime families, and every ending being some stripe of Downer Ending, it's easy to dismiss the mod and not care what happens in it.
- Vindicated by History: Although the mod had a quite mixed reception when it was first released, subsequent fixes and The Frontier's tarnished reputation due to the sheer controversies surrounding its development made a lot of players see the mod in a better light. Ironically enough The Frontier also has a few Take Thats directed towards this very mod.
