• Funny Moments: Hermione has asked for Blaise's help to come up with the identifying features for the House of Granger—crests and sigils and so forth—and the two are having some trouble coming up with a motto, because everything they've come up with sounds either too pureblood-supremacist or too Hufflepuff-y. Eventually, Blaise suggests "absume et reperi".
  Hermione blinked. "What's that mean?"
  Blaise's eyes glinted. "'Fuck around and find out'."
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Hermione's plot against Ron in first year, not only because of heavy Disproportionate Retribution but also because she's amused in chapter 32, "Interlude" when Harry asks if the Slytherins are attempting to humiliate Ron on purpose, and later with Snape becoming more vicious to Ron after the troll attack. It's only Hermione's actions in the following years that prevent her from going into Nominal Hero ground.
