- Karmic Overkill: One of Jared's many victims was a sex offender whom Jared viciously ate to death. It was meant to come across as an Asshole Victim scenario, but considering nothing else is said about him, it comes across as another horrible, overly brutal killing.
- Moral Event Horizon: Jared crossed it long ago by willingly becoming a werewolf and killing people just because. He only gets worse when he kidnaps Kyle to eat him.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- Jared is a sadistic monster who willingly became a werewolf using magic. He kills and eats people just because he enjoys it. He can also control his wolf form and transform whenever he wants, even during the day.
- Jared's dog. It's a vicious mutt that is just as mean as its master, and it turns out to actually be a Hell Hound. The transformation scene in particular is this. The dog is shot. Steven goes to deliver a Double Tap, and it gets up like nothing happened before pealing off its skin to reveal a viscous purple monster underneath with spikes and much larger fangs. People try shooting it but the wounds just seal back up. Only a silver bullet manages to kill it. After it is killed, it gruesomely melts away.
