YMMV / Naruto – Sasuke and Sai Arc

• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Sasuke really about to kill Team 7 after his Curb-Stomp Battle against them? Orochimaru certainly seems to think so as he stops him from using his final Jutsu and makes a retreat so that Team 7 will keep defeating Akatsuki members. Observant viewers will note however that the Jutsu Sasuke was attempting to use was Kirin, a Jutsu that ordinarily needs extensive setup to deliver destructive results. Was Sasuke actually just trying to knock them out with a weaker Kirin and not actually kill them? It certainly helps that Orochimaru later confirms that Sasuke has yet to take a single life.
