YMMV / Myth's Bad Ending

Go To

  • Awesome Moments:
    • Calli and Kiara put forth a badass showing against the Ancient Ones-possessed Ina, with Kiara saving Calli from getting blasted and then both of them taking on their One-Winged Angel forms in order to do battle against the Ancient Ones.
    • The first stage of Gura's battle against Ina, which has her using her water powers and her trident to both protect Ame and mess Ina up.
    • When Gura goes full Gawr by absorbing her trident, she gains a massive power boost, with speed and ferocity that would have killed Ina many times over if not for the powerful Healing Factor granted her by the Ancient Ones, ultimately culminating in splattering her all over the street. The sight of Gura deftly evading the massive hands threatening to crush her as she charges towards Ina, in particular, looks like something straight out of God of War.
    • The real Ina stopping the Ancient Ones from choking Gura out and fighting them every step of the way until they decide to leave her.
    • Amelia stopping time and traveling through to the dimension with the projector room, where she proceeds to rip out the filmstrip instead of simply rewinding it as she's done a number of times before, doing a hard reset that's implied to be the one that saves her friends.
  • Funny Moments:
    • Just the fact that Amelia's stopwatch has a cute little mustache engraved on it.
    • In a nice moment of levity following the intense and emotional battle with Ina, after Ame's spell sends her hurtling through the multiverse, she briefly stops in a universe occupied by bee versions of Smol Ame.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The Ancient Ones in a goddamn nutshell. They're Omnicidal Maniacs bent on the destruction of the world, if not beyond, and there seems to be absolutely nothing that can put them down for good, even with the powers of the Myth girls, thanks to the incredibly powerful Healing Factor they grant to the one they're possessing.
    • Poor Ina is most likely aware of what the Ancient Ones are doing through her, and we know that she wants to stop them from hurting her friends, as evidenced by her Fighting from the Inside.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • The moment when the Ancient Ones leave Ina and then decide she isn't needed anymore. Poor Ina can only look at Gura and Amelia, tears in her eyes, as the Instant Runes appear, and is only able to get out the words "I'm sor-!" before both she and Gura are obliterated.
    • Ame's entire "Groundhog Day" Loop. She has seen all of these girls die to the monsters possessing Ina again and again, rewinding time and dying to no avail. The last iteration of Ame even does a recording where she basically tells the future Ame to not rewind time anymore because all this does is create alternate timelines and that she can't save her friends no matter what she does.
    • The projector room has symbols of all of Holo Council, with Sana's (represented by the planet at the end) being the one that appears to be glitching. The fact that the symbol of Space is the only one glitching may either be referencing Sana's graduation, or the fact that the Ancient Ones (who had Sana under their thrall, according to official lore) are at fault.
