YMMV / Mystery Science Theater 3000 S11 E06: Starcrash

• Broken Base: This episode is perhaps the most hotly contested of the season, with about an equal number of fans saying it's brilliant or terrible with little in between. It doesn't help that the film's fame had increased quite a bit since the show went off the air the first time, and many had said in the years since it was a shame it had never been featured.
• Fridge Brilliance: "So, they created this massive device, just so they wouldn't have to go around corners?" It may also double as a bulkhead/airlock mechanism. Notice that it's impossible for both doors to be open simultaneously.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: With David Hasselhoff's involvement in the second film, the joke about comparing Starcrash to "a community theater production of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)" becomes even funnier.
  • And again in Avengers: Infinity War, when the Guardians run into a character named Thor. Not to mention that the Thor in this movie has a considerable resemblance to Drax.
