• Funny Moments:
  • The montage sequence.
  • Crow's term paper on Rutherford B. Hayes, taking Artistic License – History to new and deranged levels.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Frank's heart attack is less funny when you know that the real-life Frank Conniff had to undergo quadruple bypass surgery in 2019, though fortunately he made a full recovery.
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Crow keeps referring to Shep (Lassie) as "he". Servo does the same thing at least once.
  • All of the Lassie dogs have been male, since female collies' coats are heavily affected by shedding during their heat cycles, which would cut into the time the dog is available for filming. The dog playing Shep in this film is actually named "Pal" (and is the original/main Lassie, and the progenitor of every subsequent "main" Lassie). Of course, it's quite possible that Best Brains (or at least Trace Beaulieu) was aware of the gender discrepancy, so that Crow is saying "he" in reference to Lassie/Pal, while the others are saying "she" in reference to Shep.
