• Harsher in Hindsight: When explaining his invention 'The Pork-arina', Joel explains that "The original was lost in the tragic Universal fire." He was most likely referring to either of the arson attempts of 1987 or 1990, but the more recent 2008 fire destroyed more of the backlot, including a film vault, the King Kong attraction and many music master recordings.
• Headscratchers: What, actually, is the "oven" in the Miller's living room?
  • Possibly an in-wall stereo system.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: When Eegah! is hit by a car in his first appearance, Joel and the bots joke about them exchanging insurance. A little over ten years later, GEICO is using cavemen to peddle their insurance.
• Memetic Mutation: "Watch out for snakes!" which appeared many more times in future and was the name of the 2017 live tour.
• Nausea Fuel: According to the writers, they consider the scene where Eegah has shaving cream on his face to be the most disgusting scene they ever had to riff through.
