- Nightmare Fuel: It may be a silhouette, but the giant floating ball monster made of multiple Lilys fused together in the 4th game is quite an unexpected sight after the sterility and silence of everything else.
- Sequel Difficulty Spike: The last game seriously ramps up the difficulty of the puzzles involved. And these ones are within the box itself. One of them even involves algebra.
