YMMV / My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic S4 E18 "Maud Pie"

• Aluminum Christmas Trees: Pet rocks are a thing.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Maud Pie really stands out for having a unique personality for this sort of show. For irony's sake, it's the fact that in a show full of excitable characters, her blandness makes her unique. She understandably became a recurring character for the rest of the show, until it can be hard to believe it actually took this long to get her first appearance.
• Fanfic Fuel:
  • The differences between Pinkie and Maud Pie's personalities are chasmic, and practically no backstory has been given to account for how they grew up together and ended up so different. The fanfic prequels are inevitable.
  • Maud's poetry. She states that she's written thousands of them. All about rocks. So naturally people decided to write their own.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Rainbow Rocks shows that Boulder is also just a rock in the human world, making it come off even weirder.
• Stoic Woobie: Maud. Maybe. Anypony else in Maud's position would be devastated, but she never notices or doesn't even care that much.
• Unpopular Popular Character: The Mane 6 sans Pinkie found the titular character to be strange and off-putting to the point that they doubted that they could ever find common ground. However, most of the fanbase really seem to adore her.
• The Woobie: Pinkie Pie. All she wanted was to share a tradition she had with her sister to her friends and to show her friends just how awesome Maud is. Only for it to backfire when the others can't really understand why she's awesome to Pinkie.
