YMMV / My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic S1 E8 "Look Before You Sleep"

• Broken Base: Depending on who you ask, this episode is either a funny and simple character-driven delight, a boring and childish mess, or So Okay, It's Average.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Three seasons later, we learn who would have broken first in the dare game.
• Les Yay: A metric ton of it between Applejack and Rarity. Especially so in the scene were they had to share a bed.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Both Rarity and Applejack going "Oooooo!" has become rather popular.
  • When Applejack pulls the blanket from Rarity's teeth, Rarity's lower jaw juts out in a manner that suggests the "I'm a hoers" meme.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Rarity is presented as correct to worry about a minor thing when ignoring it caused problems (and in all fairness, she really is), but given how much she obsesses over little things instead of focusing on the big picture throughout the episode, AJ not paying her heed makes more sense. Crying Wolf, anypony?
