• All Animation Is Disney: It's not uncommon to mistake this for a Cookie Jar show, due to Sonja Ball and Bruce Dinsmore being cast in several Cookie Jar/Cinar productions (most notably Arthur) It was actually produced by Montreal-based animation studio Sardine Productions.
• Bizarro Episode: "Fishy Pox Pandemonium" where Admiral Bubbles creates a virus that turns people into goldfish.
  • The final episode "Jetstream Adventures" has a different formula than the usual plot where Bubbles invents something that will destroy the world and Beanie tries to stop him, instead the episode is about Beanie having a dream about himself in his favorite movie series and Bubbles being the supervillian of said movie.
• Fanfic Fuel:
  • What if Admiral Bubbles does manage to conquer the world?
  • Did Admiral Bubbles have something to do with Beanie’s father’s mysterious disappearance in that plane crash? Considering that he was around before Beanie’s dad left, it raises some implications.
• Harsher in Hindsight: A few of Admiral Bubbles' plans like in "The Monstro-Crane Of Doom!" where he wants to make the weather a destructive force and "The Ice Roaches Cometh" where he wants to create an army of cockroaches that will melt the Polar Ice Caps hit a lot harder with climate change becoming a huge issue since this show came out, causing more extreme weather.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Canadian cartoon about a kid who must stop the plans of his evil pet? Guess we'll never hear that kind of thing again.
• Moe: Beanie's friend/crush Nia is a very cute 11-year-old girl with a sweet and likeable personality.
• Spiritual Adaptation: This is basically what some people would call Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain done right.
