YMMV / Murphy And Mitzi

Go To

  • Adorkable:
  • Awesome Art: The art-style in these shorts and comics capture the feel of a late-90s to early-2000s animated show similar to that of Dexter's Laboratory or The Powerpuff Girls.
  • Crosses the Line Twice:
    • Murphy and Mitzi getting blown up by a grenade probably wouldn't be funny if they weren't playing hot potato with it with the most bored expressions imaginable on their faces.
    • Murphy gets interviewed by his mother on a "serious story", and is allowed to provide his own (VERY pompous) description. The subject of the "serious story" in question? Robbery-homicides.
    • The implications that [bunny] got accidentally turned into a chocolate model of herself by Meryl? Creepy, even if weird. Meryl stating that she was drunk on her "special smoothies" while making the model? Somewhat easens the blow by being hilariously weird. Mitzi asking her mother to do the same to her? Hilarious.
  • Fridge Brilliance:
    • Murphy is usually the one ending up getting hurt, no matter what he does. You could say he lives by Murphy's law.
    • We never learn how Murphy and Mitzi escaped from Hell after "Grave Danger". However, an earlier short mentions a "local squirrel" digging all the way down to Hell. Chances are the tunnel was still there, and Mitzi led Murphy to it.
  • Moe: The whole cast could be considered this such as for example:
    • Mitzi is a ditzy yet sweet girl who is pretty endearing most of the time.
  • Popular with Furries: Delia and Meryl (Who are the mothers of the titular duo) do tend to get some fanart, Zoe does sometimes get fanart too.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Zig-Zagged. While the target audience, in spite of the cute visuals, is not children, and the series features (censored) swearing and a few alcohol references, ultimately it has little, if any, kid-unfriendly content.
