YMMV / Mouse Trap (1963)

Go To

  • Awesome, but Impractical: There's way too many pieces and parts for this device to actually catch mice. Fun to watch it in action, though.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: Though meant to be played as a board game, many children skipped the roll-die-and-move-mouse part of the game, and straightaway built the contraption. Then they turned the crank just to watch the silly thing go through its Rube Goldberg Device process just to drop a cage on a plastic mouse. The mechanism has a roughly 1-in-3 chance of glitching during the process, usually kicking the ball bearing too hard (it'd overshoot the Rickety Stairs) or the big ball would topple off the Thingamajig.
