- Retroactive Recognition: Michael Wisher plays Harry Sanders in the episode "Departure and Arrival". Doctor Who fans now know him as the original Davros.
- Special Effects Failure: The series was criticized for its cheap-looking props and sets. Ironically, this was caused by efforts to be as realistic as possible; it is much more difficult to create a realistic-looking rocket, spacesuit, and whatnot than to simply use a salt shaker as a futuristic device.
- Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: Generally believed to be the reason the series lasted as briefly as it did. Much of it consisted of directionless conflict among the main cast, a problem that was made worse by the claustrophobic setting and general aura of hopelessness. The creators sacrificing story for scientific accuracy probably didn't help either.
