• Adorkable: Tawaret is kind, cheerful, and outgoing — not quite what you'd expect for someone who guides souls to the afterlife. She even has to resort to parchment 'flashcards' with what she's supposed to say to journeying souls to cue her, because it's been so long since anyone came her way.
• Epileptic Trees:
  • Many believe that the man sitting across from Doctor Harrow at the beginning of this episode is not actually Marc, but rather the as-yet unrevealed third alter, Jake Lockley, given that he has bruises on his nose and under his eyes which do not show up on either Marc or Steven's face. He is also implied to remember his mother hitting him, unlike Steven or Marc, and he speaks with a slight New York accent. Seemingly confirmed, if this article is anything to go by.
  • In a slight variant on this theory, the person fronting in this scene originally is Marc, with Jake only taking over after Harrow mentions the little boy Marc had allegedly been talking about in their "session" — Randall, a topic Marc is clearly unwilling and unable to talk about, and which causes him to almost immediately become violent, grabbing the glass pyramid to use as a weapon against Harrow and then against himself. Aggressiveness and violence are a trait that we’ve come to associate with the third alter, with the New York accent becoming noticeable right at that moment.
