  • Awesome Music: "Fall Mighty." A Diss Track which is a long Reason You Suck Speech towards Bobby Lashley on how he turned his back on him and was nothing without him.
  • Fan Nickname: Before being established as the foundation for what later became the Beat Down Clan, the trio of MVP, Lashley and King had garnered names with traction such as "Black Evolution", "The Nation of Evolution", and the "MLK Alliance". For what it's worth, MVP made it clear on Twitter that he had no interest in making the three men's race the main focus of their motivations, but when approached with the last option he found it much more appealing than the previous two as it cleverly played to their names as opposed to adding "TNA copies WWE lol" on top of the racial connotations.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: The Power Ranger costume. In reality, he has a tattoo of Malcolm X and Vince was worried about offending more conservative viewers. As if that's ever stopped him before...
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: "The almighty Beat Down Clan!" Beat. Cue the realization that in trying to make a Wu-Tang Clan reference, MVP essentially just called his new Power Stable "The Power Stable" and said it like it was the most gangsta thing in the world.
  • Never Live It Down: Of his trainees, Johnny Vandal is considered a semi decent tag team wrestler, at best.
  • Older Than They Think: He is not the first wrestler to be under the name MVP, Steve Lombardi worked under the name for a brief period.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap:
    • His Inferno Match with Kane. My God, who'd have thought MVP had that kind of a match in him? Even so, it took a while for the fans to accept him.
    • His role as manager to the Hurt Business, with members like Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin and especially Bobby Lashley, who went from one mediocre storyline to the next, to a legitimate monster that eventually led him to his first WWE Championship ever, all because of MVP. Under his leadership, the Hurt Business would be held up by many fans and critics as the single best thing on RAW in 2020 and 2021.
  • Unexpected Character: He made a surprise return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.
