• Moe:
  • The art style makes all the children and especially the cats look cute. Another cute character is Barnaby the dog from "Mog and Barnaby".
  • And the foxes from "Mog on Fox Night", especially the illustration of them asleep together.
• Squick: In "Mog's Bad Thing", Mog pees on Mr Thomas's chair. The next page has an illustration of the Thomases cleaning it up and Nicky is holding his nose, which can lead to readers imagining the smell, especially if they've smelt cat pee before.
• The Woobie: Mog, whenever she's sad, however, luckily, she is not always, or even mostly, sad.
