• Badass Decay: The 440-Guntank was a One-Man Army in Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO taking down squadrons of Zeon soldiers. In Rebellion it's simple cannon fodder that gets thrown around by the Zekes. By contrast, IGLOO's other suits, the Zudah and Hildolfr-kai, are at least competent Elite Mooks.

• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Nina in this manga is much more likable, gets significant expanded characterization and Character Development. In addition, her more problematic actions that earned her the hatred of the audience in the anime are omitted, toned down or recontextualized to make both her and her relationship with Gato more endearing to readers.
