YMMV / Mister Mosquito

Go To

  • Best Known for the Fanservice: If there's any scene from the game you've seen, it's probably the one where Mr. Mosquito sucks blood from a young lady in a bathtub.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: There is a cheat code that allows you to play a two player minigame, with two Kenichis riding bicycles that can jump high in the air, trying to bump each other off the platform. It's as hilarious as it sounds.
  • Breather Level: Stage 8 has Ayaka. While it is long, it's certainly one of the easier levels in the game due to how many blood-sucking points she has.
    • Stage 12. The whole Yamada family lies defeated by you at this point, so all you have to do now is suck a little more blood from each family member before escaping the house, which is increasingly getting flooded by the insecticide fumes. Because the entire family is unconscious, the only thing you have to worry about in this stage is the time limit. Considering what Stage 11 would put you through, this is very welcomed.
  • Magnificent Bastard:
    • Mister Mosquito himself is a cute, yet cunning, insect who possesses human-like intelligence. Needing blood for the upcoming winter, Mister Mosquito invades the Yamada family household to suck their blood, using stealthy deception and evasive attack strategies to acquire his food. Uncaring that his plans result in the family's degradation, Mister Mosquito is able to outmaneuver every deadly attack the Yamadas throw at him and survive for another summer. Later sneaking inside the Yamadas' luggage and following them to Hawaii, Mister Mosquito torments both the Yamadas and Browns for their blood, evading their attacks and coming out the victor once again.
    • Ka 2: Let's Go Hawaii: The American Mosquito is no less cunning than his Japanese counterpart. Using Mister Mosquito's presence to disguise his acts of blood sucking, the American Mosquito is able to avoid everything the Browns throw at him, eventually faking his own death to make them think they've succeeded in killing him.
  • So Bad, It's Good: Not the game itself, but the voice acting. It's so poorly dubbed, it's actually funny to listen to.
