  • Sure, we later find out that Nathalie was blackmailing Gabriel into being a better father, and his tone of voice makes it clear his newfound kindness is obviously very forced, but how much of this new leaf was genuine on Gabriel's part? Considering he only has months-to-weeks left to live before the Cataclysm scarring kills him.
  • While cooking breakfast, Gabriel notes that he and Adrien were a lot closer before Emilie disappeared. While this ties into Adrien's claims in his personal webisode that his father wasn't always so distant, that's assuming Gabriel's not exaggerating to gaslight him.
