• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Marinette actually upset about Luka's loss, or was it a Psychological Projection of her sadness for Adrien's loss, as she is still referring to him as a reason to be depressed? As if, until this point, Luka's presence has distracted Marinette to face the truth of Adrien (apparently) being with someone else. The fact that Marinette is back to her cheerful self as soon as the next episode, "Mr. Pigeon 72", then back to pursue Adrien by the end of it seems to favor the second theory. As bonus points, Marinette is totally in a Psychological Projection in "Mr. Pigeon 72", assigning her desire to pursue Adrien again to his ex, Kagami. The New York special similarly showed Marinette in a suspicious denial and failing as considering Adrien as "just a friend", despite the special's canonicity with the series not being established.
• Shocking Moments: Good Lord, this episode's ending; Marinette tells Alya she's Ladybug!
• Tear Jerker: The final scene where Marinette breaks down in front of Alya saying how miserable and lonely she truly is.
