- The System OP is also present, running everything and everyone in the simulation. Maybe he's just likes immersive gameplay and thus will structure virtual worlds that have that extra layer of realism, so he has scenes with NPCs play out in real time for his own entertainment rather than just coding in the consequences of those scenes, even if Judy isn't there to personally witness them. Or maybe there are rules and restrictions built into the virtual world itself, one that even the System OP can't work around {example: if an NPC is supposed to be present at a scene, he must slow-travel there in real time) or "changes in inventory or status effects or NPC death must occur during game play".
