- Broken Base: Unsurprisingly, the anime has become this. Some think that it's a decent adaptation, especially when compared to the most recent Vocaloid-inspired adaptation, while others felt that the pacing was off, were put off by the new character designs, and felt that the other characters weren't nearly as fleshed out due to the anime's decision to focus more on Eruna and her relationships with Otone and Seisa.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Following the release of A Lethargic Coup d'etat, the other four members of the drama club have picked up their own followings, Usamaru in particular seems to be popular.
- Friendly Fandoms: With Kagerou Project and Shuuen no Shiori Project. It helps that Akina, the series' character designer, is a fan of both series herself and often draws fanart for it.
- Ho Yay: Between Yuto and Asuhi and Usamaru and Tonkyun, to the extent that even Eruna has noticed.
- Incest Yay Shipping: Shigure/Eruna is quite possibly the most blatantly hinted at pairing in the series, if only because of the frequent and consistent reminders that Shigure's canonically in love with his cousin.
- Launcher of a Thousand Ships: Eruna. Numerous people have commented that this series could make a perfect otome Visual Novel, and the songs and the novels keep giving Eruna Ship Tease with different characters.
- Les Yay: Eruna with practically every girl, particularly Himi, Seisa, and Otone. Seisa is the most notable example because the only reason Eruna became interested in Mikagura Academy in the first place was because she was captivated by her, and even calls her megami (goddess) occasionally.
- Memetic Mutation: RIP Akama Yuto (Episode 1-Episode 1) note
- Moe: Asuhi, who once won a 'Male Student That You'd Want As a Little Sister' poll held by the newspaper club, and Himi. Both of them are sometimes referred to as tenshi (angel) by Eruna.
- The Woobie: Yuto, Kyoma, Asuhi... let's just say that all of the main characters aside from Eruna or Himi qualify as this.
