  • Archive Binge: With 15 micro-shorts, 10 3-minute shorts, 20 5-minute shorts, 69 TV episodes, 46 vlogs, and 20 Adventure Academy shorts (that's 180 pieces of content for those keeping track), it's hard for some fans to know where to start and what to watch when. Fortunately, Luke Ski has compiled a chart of the best order to watch them in (up to the end of Season 1 of the TV series). Bonus points if you want to watch all possible "Choose your magisword" combinations (4 for each of the 5-minute shorts, and 2 for each of the micro and Adventure Academy shorts), meaning that after that's done, you could watch 275 different versions of content.
  • Broken Base: Even with the more lax pace of the later episodes, there's debate over whether or not the lightning-fast comic timing works. Some say that it's part of the show's charm and that you eventually get used to it. Others say it's overwhelming and makes the show unwatchable.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • The Zombie Pumpkin Magisword, for being a surprisingly lovable Deadpan Snarker. He even got a few toys made of him.
    • Grup's goofy, lovable oafishness has won over quite a few fans.
    • Witchy Simone, in no small part due to her Cute and Psycho tendencies.
    • Füd. See Moe
  • Fridge Brilliance: Rhyboflavin's chief agricultural export is broccoli. Guess which nutrient broccoli is a particularly good source of?
  • Growing the Beard: Around the second half of season 1, many viewers will admit that the show had seen a drastic improvement due to the pacing issues being resolved, making the show more bearable to watch. It helps that the season 1 finale revolves on a mini-story arc about Prohyas and Vambre going back to their school, which keeps the viewer engaged and allows the story more breathing room.
  • Just Here for Godzilla:
    • Some viewers are interested in this show only because Arin Hanson (Egoraptor) is a voice actor for it.
      • Or because his fellow Game Grump Dan Avidan sings the theme song.
    • Likewise for fans of Kyle's former work.
  • Moe: As kids, Prohyas and Vambre were super adorable.
    • Many fans have this opinion of Füd, with her short hair, Eyes Out of Sight, and soft, sweet Southern drawl.
    • Present day Vambre herself is definitely not lacking in fans for reasons like this.
    • Zombie Pumpkin Magisword and Dolphin Magisword is simply adorable.
    • Grup too.
    • Penny Plasm. She may be Cute and Psycho, but she does actually realize how messed up her idea to kill Prohyas was, and is otherwise sweet as pie. It is a little heartbreaking watching her have to say goodbye to him.
  • Shipping: Most of the fandom believes that Prohyas and Witchy Simone will hook up (only because their voice actors are husband and wife).
  • Special Effects Failure: One shot in "Thick as Thieves" shows the Warriors' living room floor covered with left-out magiswords. It's very obvious from the lack of perspective that they're just flat jpegs that've been rotated and warped slightly rather than redrawn from a different angle.
  • Spiritual Adaptation: Of Slayers. Cartoon Network Japan even had a crossover promo event featuring the two series!
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Because of Füd's short hair and loose-fitting robes, it's not uncommon for viewers to assume that she's a guy until they hear her clearly feminine voice. In fact, the Mighty Magiswords wiki originally listed Füd as male prior to her first voiced appearance.
  • The Woobie: With The Reveal in "Cleanliness Is Next to Grupliness" that dragons can die if they get wet for more than two minutes, you have to feel sorry for poor Grup for what he sees as his friends trying to harm and possibly kill him.
