• Win Back the Crowd: Rebirth by Blasphemy and especially Let There Be Witchery were seen as Seasonal Rot, with a noticeable drop in songwriting quality, and the general opinion was that Jamie had completely run out of ideas and was just making albums to tour on. Hellish Expectations wound up being his best-received in a while and quickly became viewed as one of his best as a whole, and was praised for its increased punk elements (one of the main criticisms of Let There Be Witchery being its lack of memorability and overabundance of mid-paced tracks).
