  • Awesome Music: The theme song is catchy and, like the show itself, optimistic, plus it features some great vocals. The show's background music is cool to listen to, which is heavily ska influenced.
    • The World's Burt from BURT! The Musical is an environmental song performed by Billy Porter.
    • Dope New Song from the episode The Same Ol' Same will is such a catchy rap song that it will be stuck in your head all day. The Same Ol' Same qualities as well, which is heard in the closing credits of the episode (which features Angus dancing to the song). Both songs are performed by Del the Funky Homosapien.
  • Awesome Art: Contains a creative mixed media art style and expressive animation that would fit right in with the 90s Nicktoons.
  • Bizarro Episode: "They're All Named Reggie" features Parker, Angus, and Russell getting stuck in the bizarre world of Purpleton, where everyone is named Reggie.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Ms. Pam, due to being a Ms. Fanservice.
  • Friendly Fandoms: Fans of zany cartoons (especially Nicktoons in particular) have a blast watching this show, helped by the fact that it's created by a storyboard artist of SpongeBob's Denser and Wackier seasons.
  • Moe: Parker is so adorable because he's small, has a feminine voice, and is happy all the time.
Ms. Pam: My toast! My beautiful toast! It's GOOOOOONE! CRUMBS AND ALL! OH.. NOOOOOOOO!
  • Spiritual Successor: To The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. The show is like Flapjack but at a post office instead of a harbor, and is generally much Lighter and Softer compared to the dark grossout humor of the former. Angus is like K'nuckles because they're both grizzled captains (though Angus is a lot nicer than K'nuckles) accompanied by a Cheerful Child (Flapjack and Parker) and a female marine mammal (Bubbie and Russell). Both shows also incorporate mixed media in their styles.
