• First Installment Wins: After creating the Pietà relatively early in his career, Michelangelo revisited the Pietà subject in his later life, though most people tend to know only the earliest one (sometimes retroactively named as the Vatican Pietà). The other two sculptures are known as Bandini Pietà (also Florentine Pietà or The Deposition) and Rondanini Pietà, plus a fourth work named Palestrina Pietà whose attribution to Michelangelo is still uncertain.
