YMMV / Mic The Snare

  • Crosses the Line Twice: Mic's analysis of Maroon 5's Jordi: "I know this was named after a dead friend, but that's no reason to make an album that's so lifeless."
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • In the Hyperpop essay, Mic considers the possibilities for Hyperpop's future, and suggests that the genre's forefathers (i.e. Charli XCX or SOPHIE) continue their progressions or, alternately, achieve a mainstream crossover hit. The mention of Sophie in particular became harsh after Sophie's passing in January 2021.
    • Mic ends the Fleetwood Mac DDD by saying he can't wait what the new lineup will look like. A few months later, the lineup did change again... with Christine McVie's death.
  • Moment of Awesome: The Deep Discog Dive videos had been getting progressively longer from its origins as quick 5-10 minute videos, but no one was quite prepared for the unveiling of his video tackling the discography of Prince. It took him months to prepare, since it involved him listening to a whopping thirty-nine albums, and it's an incredible show of dedication, especially given that he took some detours into fan-only releases when he didn't even have to. His relief at the end is palpable, and you might feel the same way by the end.
