  • Difficulty Spike: The later stages go longer, more enemies, more moments where you are forced to go out of your mech suit to open doors where you could be killed in a second and to top it off, no checkpoints.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The ???? vs mode (unlocked by completing the game or entering a special code) is this that borders on Nausea Fuel and Squick. It is a 2-Player duel arena where you take the role of a basketball player as Player 1 and a huge basketball that retracts to a head as Player 2. The arena is a sports facility and a destructible path happens to be that of basketball players on a line-up. If these were destroyed with explosive weapons (or from Player 2's charged shot) these "destructible paths" will and reduce them to either a skeleton (still in the same pose) or nothing, with only their flesh and blood leg and feet remaining where they once stood. The combination of Uncanney Valley caricatures, surrealism, and a shocking level of violence is a jarring contrast to the rest of the level where the players are at least a (mostly) humanoid mech and the destructible paths are fuel tanks or pillars.
