Video game:

  • Anvilicious: An advert that promises the chance of winning a vacation in green pastureland, with slogans like "Win dignity!", "Win hope!" or "Win fresh air!"
  • Awesome Music: This game has Tommy Tallarico and Fear Factory. It's hard to screw up the soundtrack when you have those two working in tandem.
  • Complete Monster:
    • Father Prime is the key figurehead and face of the Fathers, a sinister cabal who've turned the Earth into a dystopia. Keeping the world in a desolate state by way of human experimentation and murder, Prime heads the Fathers' plan to acquire knowledge of Science Myth by controlling God to increase their power. Imprisoning Satan on the moon with hopes of using him to get a hold of God, Prime orders mass killings in order to feed Satan an overabundance of human corpses.
    • Satan himself is the demonic presence who manipulated protagonist Bob into killing Father Prime so that he can be freed from his containment. Slaughtering all the staff on the moon base upon his escape, Satan hopes to rule the world and devour those he deems non-believers, while also trying to corrupt Bob into becoming as evil as him.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Bob is a cherubic, child-like angel tasked by God to test his skills on a dystopian Earth. Told by a mysterious voice to take down Father Prime and save the Earth, Bob uses his powers of possession to stealthily take over the minds of engineers, soldiers, and dozens more to use their skills to progress, uncaring about the lives he puts in danger or people he sacrifices to proceed. Killing Prime by possessing his prized mutant, which ends up freeing Satan from Prime’s captivity, Bob disobeys God’s orders to return to Heaven in order to rescue mankind from Satan, taking him down and saving the Earth at the cost of God’s trust in him.
  • Older Than They Think: The infamous Roblox death sound effect actually comes from this game.
  • Watch It for the Meme: Most people only know about this game because of it being the source of the old Roblox death sound.

TV series:

  • Critical Dissonance: On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a fairly low 46% from critics, but 88% from audiences.
  • Memetic Mutation: The show gained widespread mockery from Muslims and Arabic speakers due to an erroneous claim that al-Masih's full name is "al-Masih ad-Dajjal", which would be like having a character named Dr. Evil but expecting him to be taken seriously. And while the term al-Masih might literally mean "the Messiah", it is still heavily associated with the Antichrist, as G. Willow Wilson explains here.
