• Harsher in Hindsight: Damacio Diaz, one of the two Diaz brothers who features prominently in the film, later became a detective with the Bakersfield, California police department. In 2016, Diaz was convicted of stealing confiscated drugs and putting them back on the street for a profit, serving a federal prison sentence. Then in 2023, Diaz, by that point having been released, implicated senior officers in the BPD of corruption as well.
