Even New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the same company that had just launched The United Empire with Will Ospreay as the new faction's Big Bad despite the controversy involving The Swords of Essex and Pollyanna, soon wanted nothing to do with Scurll, as a planned appearance for their American subsidiary was pulled before it even aired due to backlash, including from members of the New Japan locker room itself.
