  • Archive Panic: Over 6,000 episodes until it's last season in 2021. And so far, only 18 of the 27 seasons are available on Globoplay's official streaming. Good luck if you want to look up the remaining nine seasons somewhere on the internet, because you're going to need it.
  • Sacred Cow:
    • Season 11 is considered by most fans to be the best of the series, with many claiming that the Seasonal Rot began after this season ended.
    • Season 25, titled "Viva a Diferença" (live the difference), is also unanimously praised by critics and fans, being considered one of, if not the best season of the series. Reasons for this are the change of scenery (from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo), focus on fewer characters and great performances that were considered the best in the series. Its popularity only increased over the years thanks to a spin-off with the five protagonists and also due to the fact that the following two seasons, with new characters and stories, were poorly received before the pandemic finally ended up causing cancellation.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Bernardo in Season 12. He stalks Betina after meeting her, based solely on her beauty and having no idea of her personality. And then, after suspecting that she has a boyfriend, he is rude to her, refuses to listen to her explanation and ends up dating Jaque, her best friend (although it's worth admitting that Bernardo didn't know about this detail). And so, even after Jaque became pregnant with him, Bernardo still wants to be with Betina. And this guy is the supposed hero of the season.
  • Values Dissonance: A storyline in Season 4 that lasts for half a dozen episodes involves some white characters wearing Blackface to enter a song contest for black people. In 2023, the Viva channel, which was reprising the series from the beginning, announced that it would cut all scenes from these subplot.
