• So Okay, It's Average: Reactions to both seasons of the anime have been overwhelmingly lukewarm.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: After seeing the promo image◊ for season 2, viewers were expecting Chiya and Daiya to become magical girls themselves. The only time they do outside of Imagine Spots is a Dream Sequence. Never Trust A Key Visual?
  • This is even worse in Daiya's case; her being able to see Miton was supposedly building up to her becoming a magical girl. Turns out, she can just see things that ordinary people can't. Viewers were... underwhelmed.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: It's a fairly safe assumption that magical girls like the costumes they end up in - they were designed for them, after all. Having a magical girl costume that is an Embarrassing but Empowering Outfit, then, should be a winning premise... except that, despite the series' translated name being "I've Had Enough Of Being A Magical Girl", Yuzuka never has to do any magical girl things (the series is quite specific that other magical girls have already defeated all of the monsters and there was no real reason for her to become a magical girl in the first place). Many viewers were left scratching their heads over what the problem with the bikini was when she could just... not wear it. And when she does finally use it in a crisis situation (and not just messing around in a locked room with close friends), it's at the beach, where the swimsuit she so hates is perfectly appropriate attire... and it's the very end of the series.
