- Alternate Character Interpretation: Is Fats a supernatural entity or just a split personality of Corky? Even with the ending where Peggy starts talking like Fats, is Fats corrupting Peggy through supernatural means or is she similarly manifesting all of her own grief, trauma, and odd behavior into her own Corky-like split-personality? Or is it her just joking around, completely unaware of Corky’s death and just eager to leave with him, making the ending all the more tragic?
