• Captain Ersatz: Boy meets Girl, Boy offends Girl, Girl doesn't back down, a belligerent relationship starts before it gets friendlier, and by the end they get together after confessing their love for one another. Stan and Peggys' arc sounds like Pride and Prejudice, no?
• Funny Moments: Miss Blankenship adjusting her wig.
• Harsher in Hindsight: That black fur coat Roger gave Joan and she says she'll always think of him when she wears it? That coat shows up in The Other Woman when she sleeps with the sleazy Herb Rennet as a bid for her partnership and for SCDP to win the Jaguar account, a bid that Roger approved and she's hurt by.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: Peggy and Stan start off being rather antagonistic to each other, with him proclaiming her to be "the smuggest bitch" in the world after she teases him about their night at the Waldorf, only to later grow on one another. Flash forward to the series finale where he confesses that he's always been in love with her and thinks about how she "came into my life and drove me crazy" and can't see her not in his life and then she notes how he's been in her heart and head and makes everything alright.
