YMMV / Lythero

Go To

  • Awesome Art:
    • Lythero's edits in the videos from his main channel are both hilarious and amazing, but the moments that take the cake are the custom Dramatic Finishes he creates with his fellow editor Shoyoumomo and the other Shenanigoons when they finally beat a difficult Raid Boss Challenge in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Special mention also must be given to Krooked_Glasses, who draws all of the hilarious reaction artworks of the Z Fighters as well as the thumbnails for Lythero's videos.
    • Credit also should go to the various artists he commissions animations from for his videos. The Silver Campaign Intro by SouljenX7, for example, looks good enough that commenters have positively compared it to official Sonic CGI animations! Oh, and they generally agree that the sequence where Sonic, Shadow and Eggman are preparing to kill Silver did not need go nearly as hard as it did.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: At the end of the Beast Gohan Boss Raid after getting to the Final Boss for the first time, Lythero, in his Vegeta persona, is all ready to charge in at whatever the Shenanigoons are about to fight, with "Marketable Plushie" as the only indicator of what they're about to take on. And the opponents they have to face? Marketable Plushie Lythero... and Marketable Plushie versions of Beatbox and Psychonugget, Lythero's pet bunnies. Zyzx's very blunt response to Lythero's initial confidence faltering to rapid silent "Oh no"s only sells the situation even more:
Zyzx: Welp, beat up your pets!
  • Fan Nickname: Plenty of people refer to the President as Pizzahead due to how similar he looks to him in the animation done by Zeurel. And it eventually came full-circle.
  • He Really Can Act: While Lythero, Zyzx_ and IHeartJustice just roleplays the characters that they play (or fight against) for the hell of it, they sometimes show that they're actually really good at it. The biggest showcase of this was during the custom Dramatic Finish created for the "Totally Normal Universe 7 Raid Boss" video.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Shadow Frieza, a jet-black version of Frieza, from the Totally Normal Universe 7 Raid Boss video has become this with the Dragon Ball Super manga having Frieza show up with a new jet-black form that he dubbed "Black Frieza". Needless to say, he finds the recent developments pretty funny.
    • In the "VS Shadow" raid, when they first fought Eggman (a custom skin for Super Baby 2), Gary (as Roshi) says "OH MY GOD!? VEGETA'S EGGMAN?!". Some time afterwards, the voice cast for Sonic Prime was officially revealed, and Brian Drummond, AKA the very first English voice of Vegeta for Dragon Ball Z's Ocean dub, is to voice Eggman. Once again, Lythero had fun pointing this out in a tweet.
    • In relation to the Shenanigoons VS Three Idiots Rematch video, both groups agreed to do a second video when rollback arrived for FighterZ. However, as time passed, rollback wouldn't arrive and had been delayed twice by then, to the point Lythero joked to Javi in the Beast Gohan Raid that they would both be dead if they waited for rollback before doing a raid boss video, and eventually, the Shenanigoons and Three Idiots would prepare gameplay for the next video... Only for rollback to be announced to release the day right before the video would be posted, with rollback beta testing to begin the same week, something Lythero would call out in a tweet.
  • Moment of Awesome: Whenever the Shenanigoons take down a raid boss is already awesome on its own, but the crowning moment is definitely the custom Dramatic Finish between Broly, Goku and SSGSS!Goku against Dripstinct. See it in all it's glory here.
    • After several grueling matches...they did it. The Shenanigoonz, as Team Dark, FINALLY BEAT TEAM SONIC!!! And special mention goes to this ones custom Dramatic Finish; all of Team Dark going into Super Mode and dropping the space colony ark onto Sonic, blowing the Blue Blur and Earth (And Eggman) to ashes. If you wanna see it, it's right here.
  • Signature Scene: "Frieza Vs Robotnik" from the Shadow Boss Raid, especially thanks to the animated segment courtesy of Zeurel, mainly due to the sheer absurdity of Eggman nuking Frieza with a Nokia after the latter threatened him for making the iPhone, along with Alfred and Lee's exaggerated yet stellar voice acting for the two.
    Frieza: Time to go golden!
    Robotnik: [Completely unfazed] Gold this.
Robotnik: (Laughs with Gary's loud laughter)
