YMMV / Lupin III: Part 6

Go To

  • Complete Monster ("Two Terrible Ladies"): Grayson is a vain child trafficker responsible for countless youths being worked to death. Scarred while trying to brand Fujiko when she attempts to steal proof of his crimes, Grayson hides his face as a cult leader and later tries to brutally torture her to death.
  • I Knew It!: Pretty much a number of peopled guessed that Lestrade was a Raven member since he was the only one that kind of stood out in the supporting cast in the first arc, making him way too obvious. Especially considering how fast Lily gets targeted later on which could only happen if someone close knew about her whereabouts.
  • Magnificent Bastard ("Two Terrible Ladies"): Amelia is a thieving friend of Fujiko's. Traumatized over seeing her friends die thanks to the child trafficker Grayson, Amelia plots to expose his deeds, though he nearly catches her. Scarring him and escaping his clutches, Amelia later infiltrates his cult, utterly outsmarting him and robbing him of his precious necklace before finishing him off with Fujiko and Lupin, and escaping her past to give birth to a son.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Many fans and reviews cite disappointment with the VS Holmes arc, hoping that after the mystery behind Watson's death was resolved, that it would move onto Moriarty. Sadly no, Lupin and the gang leave London after everything is settled and we just get a tease of this show's version of Moriarty who is revealed to be a kid whom Lupin has a bit of rappaport with but claims he doesn't intend to interfere with his plans as he's leaving the city. The show then moves on to the second arc.
    • Despite this, Moriarty returns in the penultimate episode, hinting at a Sequel Hook, as he needs Lupin alive for as of yet undisclosed plans.
